This month’s photo was shot on a box containing some of the hazelnuts we collected (and we are still collecting… hundreds of pounds of them…) – this year’s harvest of hazelnuts is phenomenal.
For this month’s reading we used the ‘Kitchen Tarot’ by Susan Shie and Dennis Fairchild
This deck, unfortunately, only includes the 22 Major Arcana, but we decided to give it a go for a monthly reading, anyway. Too bad some of the small writings on the cards are not visible/readable in the photo – if you own the real deck they are interesting to meditate upon.
For the beginning of the month we pulled the ‘The Rolling Pin’ (‘The Chariot’ in traditional Tarot): a card that speaks of duality. As we come back from the summer period, the world appears more and more polarized. We need to strive to keep apparent opposites together and walk on the tightrope of compromise and acceptance to enable unity.
For the central part of the month we pulled the ‘Pressure Cooker’ (‘The Tower’): insights are on their way. They don’t always come in nice packages.
The card we pulled for the last part of the month is ‘The Stove’ (‘The Empress’): Let the Universe shower you with Abundance.
