At the beginning of every month we pull three Oracle cards or Tarot cards, for a generalized prediction of the month. We hope you enjoy them!

This month’s photo was shot on the stack of firewood in our kitchen.
This month we used the ‘Dragons Tarot’ published by Lo Scarabeo, Italy – this was also the deck we used in January and we thought it would be nice to close the year with the same deck which we used when it started!
For the beginning of the month we pulled ‘The High Priestess’: this is a Major Arcana which represents a stage in your spiritual (or soul’s life) where it is important to stay grounded in spiritual practices, surrounded by like-minded people, having true faith and seeing with the heart. Love yourself and your dear ones fully, without reserve, without fear. Make vows and rituals under the Full Moon on Sunday 3rd, especially appropriate as Saturday 2nd will be the beginning of the Mercury retrograde period, which typically calls for reflective mood – a phase for re-evaluation, self-care and turning inwards, avoiding the worldly crowds.
For the central part of the month we pulled another Major Arcana, the card ‘Death’: we are strong into the Mercury Retrograde period here and a time for sudden intuitions and realizations. Anyhow, let those rest in the back of your mind and don’t be too quick to take action; instead, make sure you understood them really well, and some planning will be necessary: don’t act on impulse! As the Christmas holidays approach, this could be a period when you can stop working (at least temporarily); the ending of a period of survival and an opportunity to change your focus to something more meaningful that can revitalize and renew you. You shouldn’t anyhow trade off your being busy with work for another type of work – such as taking Christmas shopping and preparations too seriously – or you’ll be jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire! The New Moon on Monday 18th is the gate through which you can really propel your energy to culminate your most recent chunk of work on yourself and get refreshed, feel reborn and start on the next phase. This is, after all, the ‘real’ year’s end: the winter solstice is on December 21st and, with Saturn entering Capricorn on the 19th, it might be time to make plans for some real action. Get ready.
The card we drew for the last part of the month is the ‘King of Swords’: this could be some trusted professional or friend you’d meet for professional or legal advice or it could represent the approach the cards encourage you to take in this period: use logic, make detailed plans and attempt new year resolutions. Don’t get worried about signing up for too much (don’t feel pressed or forced either but do it if it feels right), or because last year you didn’t accomplish everything you had resolved to do: plans and circumstances can change and adapt but it’s important to keep a steady vision and be committed! We can only plan so much but it’s still a useful exercise and, during the recent reflective period, you should have now prepared your plans and toolkit for your next phase. As Mercury turns direct again on December 22nd it will ease communications once again (but watch out until it fully escapes its retrograde shadow on January 10th!).
