We picked some cards for you! As usual, the interpretations you can read below are our own (not verbatim from the deck’s booklets).
Note: The photo was shot on our field, which in this period is full of wild flowers growing spontaneously. The orange flowers in the background are Calendula (Calendula Officinalis is its scientific name but it’s commonly called Marigold in the English-speaking world) which is a plant with many qualities and probably one of the most versatile healing herbs out there, known since the time of ancient Egypt and still widely used in modern phytotherapy, homeopathy and cosmetics. Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, creams, oils and ointments made from Calendula can be used to cure all sort of skin problems, from irritations to bruises, open cuts and wounds, eczema and more.
Its dried petals can be used for teas and tinctures, also useful to help with internal inflammations, ulcers, irregular menstrual cycles and other internal unbalances. You can also just use the petals as an addition to salads.
Its magical uses are also varied and they include protection during sleep and helping to make your dreams come true – just keep some dried petals under your pillow.
Here are the cards we picked:
A) “Talk to your Angels” from the “Life Purpose Oracle cards” by Doreen Virtue tells you to stop worrying and/or complaining about this situation and ask for Divine guidance and inspiration, instead. Worrying never solves anything and can in fact make things worse: if you focus on the worst case scenarios and the negative aspects, per the Law of Attraction you might actually be creating your self-fulfilling prophecies! You can, instead, turn your worries into prayer: ask for help to make things better and – as you give your Angels permission to help you out and you let go of your worries to – you will receive inspiration about practical steps to take to improve the situation.
B) “Into the unknown” from “The Enchanted Map Oracle cards” by Colette Baron-Reid reminds you that life is an adventure where safety and control are really just illusions; the truth is that you discover new things as you go and, more often than not, you have to navigate in uncharted territory. How exciting! If you trust that life will support you, there is no need to be afraid; you are better off facing what’s ahead with enthusiasm and allowing yourself to experience each new challenge with the courage to find the fun that’s in it. While situations and moments in this life fly by and do not come back, you will eventually realize that this fact can be accepted as a victory.
C) “Butterfly Maiden” from the “Goddess Guidance Oracle cards” by Doreen Virtue is a card that we also pulled last year while on our trip to Malta (there is a post about it that you can read here ) and it is an invitation to accept the inevitability of change and to see its magic. Change and transformation are a normal part of this world and, while you might be tempted to resist them due to our fears, the Butterfly Maiden advises you to embrace them and see the blessings they can bring!
D) “Artistic expression” from the “Ascended Masters Oracle cards” by Doreen Virtue presents a great artist from the Renaissance period – Paul the Venetian (better known as ‘Veronese’) – who painted famous and beautiful fresco’s and paintings. In his works he didn’t even try to please this or that master or to follow dogmatic or pre-established views of his times. He rather allowed his hands be guided by his own inspiration and interpretations of religious scenes. This got him in quite some troubles and he had to defend his work (and life) against the accusation of the terrible Inquisition tribunal – and managed to do it successfully. His invite to you is to set your creative spirit free and start expressing your locked up emotions through some form of art: it can be visual arts, making music, dancing, writing or even baking a cake – whatever works for you – but you do need to let your creativity out. It doesn’t matter if you feel that your skills are not advanced enough; just start, make a mark and see where it takes you – it might just open you up to a renewed understanding of yourself and your life’s purpose.
We hope this reading was useful and inspirational for you – let us know!
Have a blessed day,
Jyothi & Daniele
