Today we pulled a Tarot card from the Angel Tarot deck by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine: the Six of Water (Cups in ‘traditional’ tarot).
This card matches perfectly the energy of this period! It talks of memories from the past that have resurfaced and of dealing with the associated emotions, as in releasing guilt or fear or anger that was associated with hurt parts of ourselves. It’s a card that talks of self-care and nurturing ourselves and others. It’s a card that speaks of recovery: strength, grace and stability begin to take root. You have been feeling strong impulses to step onto the spiritual path, to lift the veil of illusion, to see things thru, to make real progress in this life time to honor your soul’s purpose, and you have become increasingly aware that the change begins with yourself – not trying to control external events.
The wounds and the emotional scars from our past are what often all that holds us back.
But the past – our perception of it, if you wish – can be rewired with exercise and willingness and spiritual practice, and those scars can be healed. At the heart’s level, linear time does not exist; it is a construct of the mind. We can go back in time and hug our wounded child, and heal in the present. At the heart’s level, all is just pure feelings. At the heart’s level, we are all pure light and can access the divine perspectives, and learn compassion.
Starting last April, when Mars went retrograde, we have all been forced to face our fears, we have all been digging deep and working hard at integrating lessons of the recent years with newly re-emerged memories from our childhood and from past lives.
Those who didn’t accept the challenge to go thru this review might have felt pretty restless. They kept struggling against external delays to their plans and tried to force things the whole time, stressing themselves out.
Others have surrendered, and accepted used this ‘slow’ time to really dig deep, understand, feel, and reach new heights.
Tomorrow, Mars will turn direct again, and we’ll have to see how we can use its renewed firey energy and the increased awareness of our hearts’ true desires, and now channel that energy into creativity and passion, rather than into the negative patterns of the past all over again.
Summertime is here. It’s time to be alive.
