This time around we pulled three cards from the ‘Angel Tarot’ card deck by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine (published by Hay House). The cards represent the first, second and third part of the month.
For the beginning of the month we pulled the Two of Air (Swords). This card speaks of choice that must be made, to move forward and not being stuck, by digging in one’s subconscious and using both ‘weapons’ of intellect and heart: when reason and feelings work together, they can bring us to happiness.
As I am writing this while we are on holiday, I cannot help but think of the choices that people make in their lives: to live in the illusion – like most people who just seek ‘entertainment’ and getting drunk while on holiday – or to search for true meaning in life, in this world. What wrong attachments do we have? What fears hold us back? Are we willing to get past those fears and lift the veil that is covering our eyes?
Physical and spiritual exercises are both required to explore ourself, find out what we need, and live wisely. Let’s stay on our track and slowly go forward. Feel what is right in each new moment without worrying about the future or dwelling in the past.
For the middle part of the month we got the Nine of Earth (Coins). We have comfort and plenty of resources available to us. We shouldn’t squander those resources in crazy partying, but we can live relaxed and comfortable, and find contentment and joy in the little things of everyday life. We are allowed to enjoy what we earned earlier by working very hard.
Plans for business ventures are valid and should be pursued. If we are self-employed or working at something we like, we should be able to find contentment in small things done properly and carefully, with attention to details.
The card we drew for the last part of the month of May is the Eight of Fire (Wands). This indicates that things will be moving fast. We will have lots to do, and there will be a lot of energy flowing! We might feel a bit overwhelmed at times, but we know we are working for the right things, making the world a better place, so we should stay positive and optimistic. If we keep our ego in check and do our work from a place of love and in a selfless way, we’ll succeed. Let’s remain open to inspiration and act quickly when we feel the moment is right. Strike the iron while hot. Our goal is near but we aren’t quite there yet. We might need to prioritize where we put our energies, and a little help from friends and family could really make a difference, even if we might not always like to admit it.
